This Privacy Policy explains how Aperture ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use aperturetools.com. By using Aperture, you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, contact us at support@aperturetools.com.
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information. When you register, we collect your email address, username, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Wallet and Trading Data. To provide analytics, you submit public Solana wallet addresses to our platform. We store these addresses along with any content you create within the app.
Payment Information. Subscription billing is handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. We do not see, store, or process your credit card number or any payment details.
Usage and Technical Data. We collect session data through server-side authentication cookies used solely to keep you logged in. We also use PostHog, a product analytics tool, to understand how users interact with the app. PostHog collects page views and in-app events (such as feature usage) and associates them with your username once you are logged in.
We use your information to operate and improve Aperture, including to authenticate your account, display your trading analytics and journal, process your subscription, respond to support requests, and maintain the security of the platform. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the platform, including for authentication, hosting, payment processing, and analytics. Key providers include Stripe for payment processing and PostHog for product analytics (see posthog.com/privacy). All providers are limited to using your data only as necessary to deliver their services. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention.
Aperture uses session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. These expire when your session ends. We also set a first-party analytics cookie (ph_*) from PostHog to track page views and feature usage. This cookie persists for up to one year. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@aperturetools.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Aperture after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
